ULC approves ELA 07 gyrocopter
The ULC ( Polish CAA ) has recently given type certificate approval to the ELA 07 Cougar two seat open cockpit gyrocopter.
This is major step forward for the liberalisation of the gyro market in Poland as previously the only type certified was the Polish built Xenon/Zen1.
Half a dozen of the Spanish built ELA 07 gyros have been operating in Poland since 2008 with most registered on the American "ASC" register and one with a Czech ( OK ) registration.
The first ELA 07 with a Polish registration is SP-XELA - this gyro had previously flown with the ASC registration "A21-KAC".
The local agent "Wiatrakowce" recently imported an agricultural version of the ELA 07 equipped with spray bars - this was exhibited at a recent farm equipment trade show in Poland.
Find more info about the ELA gyrocopter in Poland on the web link below

G-SALL Reims Cessna F 150L sold to Poland
Reims Cessna F 150L G-SALL was cancelled from the UK aircraft register on 15.12.09 as sold to Poland.
This aircraft was built by Reims Cessna in 1971 with c/n 0682 originally as D-ECPH before being sold to The Netherlands as PH-LTY. It arrived in the UK from Holland to become G-SALL back in 1979.
Take a look at the photo of G-SALL on the link below - if you see her in Poland in her new "SP-GCD" markings please let me know - thanks

New Polish Ultralight Glider Register
The Polish ULC ( Polish CAA ) have started a new register sequence for Ultralight Gliders with a weight of under 70 KG.
I have found details of 2 gliders in this new registration range,
SP-GAAB Axel
SP-GAAC Axel
The "Axel" is a new glider type that I knew nothing about - it appears to use the fuselage of a PW-5 Smyk with a wing similar to that of the PW-3 Bakcyl.
The Link below shows many other photos by "Gazda" of the Axel ultralight glider project

If you know about any other Ultralight Gliders in Poland please do let me know - thanks.
