Review - Let Mont Tulak in Poland

The Czech designed Let Mont Tulak light aircraft is popular in Poland with kit aircraft builders. My notes show that at least 13 different examples have appeared on the SP Polish civil aircraft register and these 13 aircraft have used at least 20 different registrations.

The first example to be registered in Poland was going to be SP-FUZ s/n TUL 06 with rejestracja #3497 in November 1999 - but this registration process was annulled ( it would later complete the registration process in July 2000 with rejestracja #3547 ).  

So the first Tulak to complete the registration process was SP-FOW s/n TUL 03 with rejestracja #3539 registered in June 2000.  

Below is a simple list of the basic details of known Let Mont Tulaks in Poland listed in alphabetical registration order

 

SP-FOW - s/n TUL 03 registered in June 2000 - later became SP-YOW

SP-FOZ - s/n TUL 04 registered in July 2000 - later became SP-YOW

SP-FUZ  - s/n TUL 06 registered in July 2000  - later became SP-YDS and then ultralekkie SP-SNIE

SP-KAM - s/n TUL 05 registered in August 2000 - note this initially test flew as SP-PAM. It later became SP-YBM and then ultralekkie SP-SBMB

SP-YBL - s/n TUL 01 registered in July 2003

SP-YET - s/n TUL 09 registered in August 2003

SP-SALL - s/n EP01 registered in November 2014 - has a Rotax 912

SP-SFEN - s/n unknown - registered in November 2012 - built in 1998 believed ex OK-DUK-01 - true s/n ?

SP-SPEC - s/n JM01 - registered in December 2018

SP-SPLO - s/n "09" - registered in June 2009

SP-SWLO - s/n WF02 - registered in September 2008

SP-SWTC - s/n unknown - registered in April 2021 - built in 2010 - previous history ?

SP-SYYS - s/n TUL 02 - registered in September 2007 

 

Notes - There is some uncertainty of true factory s/n for several aircraft - some s/n appear to be similar, for example

SP-YET and SP-SPLO both have s/n 09 - however but SP-YET and SP-SPLO  appear registered at the same time for many years

SP-SYYS is registered as type Tulak EP1 with a s/n of TUL-02 - SP-SALL is shown as s/n EP01  - both are registered at the same time
